MY ACCOUNT FAQ

Q. Do I need an account?

A. Yes, you need to be logged in to access the courses

Q. How much does it cost to register?

A. It is completely free to register on the platform

Q. I have forgotten my password?

A. Click here to reset your password

Q. I cannot remember my login email address?

A. You will need to contact us to access to discuss.

Q.  How do I update the areas I am interested in?

A. In your dashboard click on the ‘My Interests’ button

Q. How do I update my personal details?

A. Click on the ‘Account’ button at the top of the page

Q. Can I sign up as a club?

A. No, this is designed for individuals

Q. How do I access my basket?

A. Click on the basket symbol in the top right hand corner of the screen

 

COURSES FAQ

Q. Do I have to pass courses?

A. The only tested course is SG3. All other courses are untested

Q. Do I need to be online to access the courses?

A. Yes, you do need to be online but you can access them from your smartphone, tablet or PC/Laptop

Q. Where are the courses I added to my wishlist?

A. Click on the ‘Wishlist’ button at the top of the page to access them

Q. How do I purchase a course?

A. Find the course you are interested then click on the ‘Purchase Course’ button

Q. There was a course I wanted to purchase but it has disappeared?

A. We regularly update and refresh our course so some might not be available all the time

Q. If I purchase a course and it is discontinued will I still have access to it?

A. Yes, once you purchase a course it will remain in your dashboard

Q. I need subtitles on the videos, how do I do this?

A. On the videos click on the ‘settings’ in the bottom right and then select ‘subtitles/CC’ then choose the best option for you

 

Safeguarding 3 (SG3) FAQ

Q. What is SG3?

A. This is the next evolution of safeguarding for Scottish Gymnastics. SG3 is for members whose Safeguarding 2 award has expired/is due to expire within the next 3 months. For the first time it will be blended learning with part online and part face to face.

Q. How much is SG3?

A. It is £25

Q. The face to face session I am booked on to is after my Safeguarding 2 award expires? Will I be able to have a waiver applied?

Q. How many attempts do I get?

A. You get two chances to pass then you will need to re-purchase the course. You will then get another two attempts to pass. If you fail after that you will need to contact Scottish Gymnastics safeguarding@scottishgymnastics.org

Q. Do I lose my face to face session booking if I fail?

A. Your place will be lost after you have failed your second attempt, however if you re-purchase quickly you might be able to secure the same session. This isn’t guaranteed though.

Q. I have not completed the SG3 course before the deadline?

A. You will need to re-purchase the SG3 course

Q. I have failed all attempts at SG3 what happens now?

A. You will need to contact safeguarding@scottishgymnastics.org to discuss your options

Q. What happens if I pass?

A. You will then need to attend a face to face session at the location you selected at the beginning of the SG3 course to fully pass SG3

Q. What do I need to bring for the face to face session?

A. Please bring paper and pen so you can take notes

Q. Do I need to attend the face to face session?

A. Yes, this is the second part of the SG3 course and attendance is compulsory

Q. I have passed the online part of SG3 but cannot attend the face to face session anymore?

A. Please contact safeguarding@scottishgymnastics.org to discuss your options

Q. Can I access the SG3 course material after the deadline date?

A. Yes, if you pass the course you will be able to access and refer to the full course material

Q. The videos are not playing?

A. Check your internet connection. If the problem persists please contact us

Q. There is an issue with my SG3 course?

A. Please contact us to let us know exactly what the issue is

Q. Can I do SG2 instead of SG3?

A. No, you must have attended the SG2 course previously. SG2 is valid for three years and at that point you will be able to access SG3

Q. Can I do SG2 again instead of SG3?

A. No, SG3 is the follow on course from SG2, not a replacement

Q. Can I do the British Gymnastics online course instead?

A. No, if you are coaching or working with Children in Scotland you must attend the Scottish Gymnastics organised safeguarding training

 

PAYMENT FAQ

Q. How can I pay?

A. You can make payment by credit or debit card. Alternatively you can pay via PayPal

Q. If the course is at zero value will I incur any charges?

A. No, if the course is zero value you will not be charged but you will need to go through the checkout process to access the course(s) you have selected

Q. I have used a voucher code and it isn’t giving me a discount?

A. Check the information you have about the voucher to ensure it is in date. If it is then contact us on 0131 271 9750

Q. I want a refund for my course?

A. Once a course is purchased a refund cannot be offered

Q. Where do I add my voucher code?

A. Add this to the order summery page before you complete the purchase
