FD People - Employment Status Explained

FD People - Employment Status Explained

Course Overview

Approximate completion time: 85 minutes.
Suitable for: All clubs, coaches, staff and committee/board members.

French Duncan, as part of their partnership with Scottish Gymnastics, are producing a series of webinars, guidance documents and templates to offer clubs advice on a range of HR topics.

In this course, we cover what employment status options are available, why they are important for all clubs to be aware of, and what you need to do to be fully compliant. This is an area where you must follow the law and getting it wrong can be costly. Every club, even if you don't employ staff, still has key responsibilities.

We hope that by the end of the course you will be able to:

  • Recognise the difference between: an employee; a worker; and someone who is self-employed;
  • Identify the main characteristics of each category of employment status
  • Appreciate the risks in incorrectly identifying employment status;
  • Apply appropriate checks in your organisation to determine employment status; and
  • Know who and how to contact French Duncan HR Services for further support & advice.
