French Duncan, as part of their partnership with Scottish Gymnastics, are producing a series of webinars, guidance documents and templates to offer clubs advice on a range of HR topics.
In this course, we cover what it takes to employ staff, when you should think about doing it, and what steps you must take. It will also cover the different employment status options that are available, why they are important for all clubs to be aware of, and what you need to do to be fully compliant.
We hope that by the end of the course you will be able to:
- Understand the steps required to employ staff
- Understand the key responsibilities you have as an employer
- Recognise the difference between: an employee; a worker; and someone who is self-employed
- Identify the main characteristics of each category of employment status
- Appreciate the risks in incorrectly identifying employment status;
- Apply appropriate checks in your organisation to determine employment status; and
- Know who and how to contact French Duncan HR Services for further support & advice.
