Course Overview

Approximate completion time: 90 minutes.
Suitable for: Coaches, Safeguarding Officers, Helpers in the gym whose Safeguarding 2 award is due to expire and are needing to renew their safeguarding award..

Scottish Gymnastics primary concern is the development of the child in a safe, secure and positive environment. It is a fair expectation that all clubs and coaches agree to this primary concern and as a result accept a responsibility to respond to any actions that are not beneficial to a child’s development. 

SG3 follows on from SG2 to keep our coaches, helpers and safeguarding officers well-informed, and to provide the best possible protection for children and young people which we pride ourselves on. In this course we blend the learning with the first part online followed by a group face to face session that will cover more scenario based situations.
